Getting ready for the line-ups across town ... dust off the base, clean the needle and stack the vinyl.

We're as excited about the bands in town as we are the chill in the air. Gritty, garage-style favorites are queued up ... we recently discovered Avery Tare's Slasher Flicks (Little Fang - we promise, it's catchy) and have been playing King Khan and the BBQ Show and that not-so-precious lady from down-under, Courtney Barnett, all Summer. There's our local favorite, Loud Boyz who just opened for famed punk greats, the Buzzcocks ... The Black Lips ... the Illinois based band The Orwells ... Willie Nelson ... each one distinctive, each one iconic or soon-to-be. If you're questioning Willie Nelson in our mentionables - the man's a braided god & just played the 9.30 Club ... that's pretty damn gritty.
To get you up to speed and give an ear for what's playing in the workroom this week, our buddy J.T. Gellerson (Black Cat steady and photographer) put together a line-up we can all get on with.
PLAY HERE & tell us what's on your turntable.
